CHANCERY COURT RECORDS CANNON COUNTY, TENNESSEE, 1840-1880
Cannon County was carved-out of Coffee, Rutherford, Warren and Wilson counties in 1836. Chancery Court Records are extremely important to researchers due to the many early settlers who died without leaving Wills. These records provide many detailed breakthroughs in family research not found elsewhere. This book is a valuable research and reference tool that often supplies that missing link of the family, frequently naming fathers, mothers, children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles. - United States - Tennessee - Cannon

SMITH COUNTY, TENNESSEE DEED BOOKS B-M, 1800-1835
This middle Tennessee county was formed from Sumner County in 1799. Nine new counties were created out of Smith County in whole or in part. It is surrounded by the present day counties of: DeKalb, Jackson, Macon, Putnam, Trousdale, and Wilson counties, TN. Most of these early settlers were from North Carolina and Virginia via Eastern Tennessee. These Deeds are probably the most complete records available for this county during this time period. This volume should also be used to fill in the gap left by the lack of marriage records for this county. This book makes an excellent source for reconstructing marriages because of the many family members mention within these Deeds. - United States - Tennessee - Smith
